Charlotte Hot Springs is such a great new spot in the valley! I loved my visit there. You walk into this large, warm plant filled atrium where they have parrots, lizards & a bridge over a water feature. There's a small kids play area (ideal for little ones). They have locally grown plants & produce for sell as well as cute goods & even locally made breads & goodies. There are 3 pools outside that were so nice & well maintained. The temps are listed right by. You can relax while you soak surrounded by snow covered hills in the winter. Highly recommend!

All ages welcome and kid-friendly! 3 Hot springs to choose from, all different temperatures. Pools are clean and well maintained as well as the manicured landscaping around them. Large changing rooms with clean showers to use. There are also large greenhouses with lots of plants to choose from! 2 macaw parrots, Ginger and Mary Ann live in the green house as well as their friends the iguana and 2 cats! Very friendly staff! Will be back next year for sure! Adult price was $30 for the day, but you can walk around and enjoy the greenhouses and

My favorite hot springs in Buena Vista! This place is so beautiful, has lots of pretty landscaping throughout. The changing rooms are very clean and they have a lovely botanical garden area where you can eat lunch (in progress but still very peaceful to sit in as it is right now). they have three big pools with ranging temperatures. Can’t recommend enough!

I recently visited Charlotte Hot Springs, nestled within the San Isabel Forest. Google Map lists Charlotte Hot Springs twice, and one is pinned incorrectly at Merrifield Homestead Cabins, so make sure you turn on to Country Road 343, a dirt road. Weekend admission was $35 per adult, and we received bracelets for readmission throughout the day.

The staff were friendly, and the front desk offered cold canned and bottled drinks starting at $1. The cell signal was poor, but there was free wi-fi. While the botanic garden is still a work in progress, the facilities were new and clean. The locker rooms had ample space, including lockers, private changing areas, showers, and sinks with soap and shower gel but no towels, so be sure to bring your own towel. You may want to arrive in street clothes and change on site. During my shower, the pressure dropped and water became lukewarm.

The three outdoor pools, each with a different temperature ranging from 98F to 103F, were comfortable and offered great views of rugged mountains. Each pool fits about six to ten people comfortably, depending on the size of your personal bubble. I appreciated that each pool had a partial shade cover, but the drainage vents in the soaking tubs were occasionally noisy. There is no kiddie pool, and the tubs are designed for soaking, not swimming, so children may become bored. We spent about 90 minutes between arriving at the wrong address, finding the right location, paying, soaking, and rinsing off.

While Charlotte Hot Springs has its charm, I may explore other hot spring options in the Salida and Buena Vista area before returning.

This was a nice find on my way to cottonwood Hot springs. Having an onsite greenhouse and 2 tropical birds is a nice attraction. Will definitely visit again soon.

Rented a private cabin with private hot spring. WORTH EVERY PENNY! Spoil yourself and just do it. Hands down one of the best stays I’ve ever experienced. The detail and coziness of the cabin, hearing the creek at night, star gazing, getting to be your own hot spring at the perfect all day soak temperature, and being surrounded by forest and nature was absolutely magical. We even had some big horns visit the creek next to us while we were there. The customer service was top notch, I really feel lucky we were able to have this experience. Thank you guys, we’ll be back!

Brand new, clean and modern facilities.
I went with my husband and 2.5 year old and had a blast. The pools were really comfortable and my child had a great time floating around with the noodles.
Felt great taking a shower there before leaving. We felt very relaxed there and enjoyed our afternoon.

You can tell the owners take great pride as twice they came by to clean the pool from any debris.
Staff was very friendly, they let my child per the bearded iguana they had on site and we were able to interact with the 2 macaws.

Would definitely recommend to anyone in Buena Vista area to check these out.
