This place certainly surpassed my expectations, as I had no clue I was about to have one of the best chicken sandwiches of my life. I ordered the Original Hot Chicken Sandwich with the spice level Honey Butter which actually has no spice. I am not big on spicy food so it was a delight to see that I was not limited to only eating spiced chicken. My husband ordered a sandwich with Medium spice and after trying his I would probably order it in the future. Medium spice was not overbearing, it added just enough heat without making it uncomfortable. The food was brought out to the table very quickly and the presentation alone had my mouth watering. The first bite is what sealed the deal. The chicken was juicy, and incredibly well seasoned. The sandwich is topped with their House Sauce which had a bit of sweetness, but combined with the saltiness of the chicken, the flavors blended perfectly. I noticed they had house made lemonades so I tried the Strawberry Hibiscus and that was super tasty. It was perfectly sweetened and very refreshing. Great food and great customer service, I'll definitely return.

I can’t help but compare Houston TX Hot Chicken to Dave’s Hot Chicken and I think HTHC wins the battle!

Walking in, the lobby and dining area was immaculate! Clean, tidy and the smell of delicious chicken filled the air. Ordered a couple tenders and went to sit outside because the weather was perfect. The have ample seating inside, inside and they even have a small bar to order drinks and watch sports. The food was brought to my table and they asked if there was anything else they could do for me. They went to get some ranch and they were very friendly. The tenders were fantastic quality and flavor and I didn’t expect to enjoy the fries, but they were fantastic.

I will 100% be going back…. I’m actually excited to try something different.

Tips From A Bellman

I have been a fan of Houston's for a while now and actually did a YouTube review video of the Henderson location and a YouTube Short of the Ann Road location. Tips From A Bellman is my channel. Anyway , this is the first time I've been to this location which is great because I like to go to the Trails of Summerlin walking path to do a few miles there and it's across the street. I was surprised also that this location sells alcohol and the Boozy Milkshakes sound amazing. I will have to try one the next time.

I recently had throat surgery so I can't eat like I used to for about another month , but I'm getting better now at eating most regular food. I usually get the Medium Heat Chicken Sandwich and a Hot Tender with Fries , but this time I had to just get a Mild Chicken Sandwich and Fries and a Frozen Lemonade. I like the original one better than the hybrid ones and I've tried all of them. I have to say I was underwhelmed by the Mild , but I knew it wouldn't be the same as I am accustomed to having a more spicy chicken sandwich , but I can't do spicy again just yet. So , I will just have to wait another month or so to get back to eating what I really like.

The young lady that took my order was very nice with a great smile and the lady that brought my food to the table was nice too. The place was clean as every Houston's locations I have been to. I like that they have the outside dining area also with tree cover for shade. It's a nice touch. When I was leaving a gentleman asked me how everything was and I told him about my situation , but everything was fine. I ate most of my sandwich and half my fires since I'm still working on my throat issues and not used to eating much at this time. I'm looking forward to coming back and getting my Medium Hot Chicken Sandwich and one of those Boozy Milkshakes probably in about 2 months when I'm better.

Also I've had Dave's Chicken about 2 months ago and Houston's blows Dave's away !

My chicken breast was very small on the sandwich and it was $10 which was disappointing. The fries have good seasoning but it’s sugary. The cheese sauce was not what I was expecting, would not order that again. The sandwich was so wet with sauce and made the bun very soggy. Not my favorite sandwich spot, but the tenders by itself are good. I would prefer Dave’s hot chicken for the sandwich.

The chicken is Hot! The flavor is good and very seasoned. The fries even had a little spice on it. Dining in is a very relax environment and the plaza HHC is located is very nice. HHC has many different lemonades. Ordering takeout is easy, pick up is easy and payment is simple. Lots of tables and a bar area. Unfortunately we didn’t try the cookies but they sure did look good.

I was a little disappointed with my experience. While the flavors of the food were not bad, nothing really stood out to me. I noticed that the cooks seemed to be working hard, but the cashier appeared annoyed. Perhaps it was just a long day for them, but as a first-time customer, it was a bit off-putting to receive frustrated responses. Although it's not a big deal to me and I understand that people have bad days, I just wanted to bring it to your attention.

HHC is now my go-to for chicken strips. The Spicy is actually spicy! The meat is always well cooked and a great portion of chicken on the strip. We can't do Canes ever since we have had HHC. The lemonade is delicious as well. This location has a great amount of seating and a nice bar!
